Friends of Glacial Lakes State Park was organized to help promote, protect and preserve the natural beauty of this small but unique state park.

Since its origination in 2003, the Friends of Glacial Lakes State Park have made several efforts to increase visitation and revenue to Glacial lakes State Park. These efforts have consisted of a "Park Permit Day" to encourage park users to purchase their permits at Glacial Lakes State Park; and an "Annual Park Open House" to take advantage of the States generosity and designating this day to be a free pass day to encourage people to use the park.

The Friends of Glacial Lakes State Park also volunteer their labor and time to help the park keep well maintained and up to date. These efforts have consisted of several work/picnics project each year. The Friends Group have in the past painted tables, helped harvest prairie seed, assembled trail benches and picnic tables and assist the park workers in blowing leaves in the Fall as well as finance building projects that will benefit Glacial Lakes State Park.

If you wish to join the "Friends group" contact Glacial Lakes State Park at 320-239-2860 or send in this membership form
