This past year has been a very busy one for the Starbuck
Area Chamber of Commerce. We have not only been busy promoting what we as a
community have to offer but also trying to build and protect what we currently
have in our community. If you wish to join the Starbuck Chamber of Commerce
please call us at (320) 239-4220
The chamber has numerous responsibilities to and for the community.
The chamber is the entity that provides the leadership for the Annual Heritage
Days celebration. This celebration is the largest for the year and brings in
more visitors than the population of our community. The chamber is also
currently working on Hobo Days, City Wide Garage sales, and Join Hands
Day.
This year the chamber applied and received a grant through the Blandin
Foundation. This grant, the Broadband Grant, has opened many possibilities for
the community and surrounding area. We have received many donations from
organizations to purchase computers that have been placed at the Senior Center.
These computers will enable the seniors and businesses to take advantage of the
education and use of the internet services that are available. Through the
increased awareness of the internet, we have taken this opportunity to update
and expand our website. Now the website has been looked at and used two to
three times more a day than what it had been.
The Chamber of Commerce is working to bring different organizations
together to band their efforts into a unified approach so that all of us will
come through stronger and wiser.
- -We are trying to work with the city on issues such as the bike path,
making of more campgrounds, and the overall presentation that Starbuck has to
offer.
- -We shared information and worked with the Jaycees on the Easter Egg
Hunt. We also work with the Jaycees heavily during Heritage Days.
- -We are beginning to work more with the Merchants Associations on
different events and activities.
Your comments and suggestions on our site are strongly
encouraged. You can email the chamber to submit your thoughts at
